What Is Chronic Wound Therapy?

Those who are elderly or bedfast often develop chronic wounds, which are wounds that tend to heal very slowly and irregularly. Most wounds that do not heal within a six to eight weeks are considered to be chronic. Typical causes of chronic or non-healing wounds include, but are not limited to:

  • Immobilization

  • Traumatic Injuries
  • Non-healing Surgical Incisions

Genadyne XLR8®

WrenCare gives a new dimension to Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) with the Genadyne XLR8® [Accelerate]. A complete wound care system with the smallest and lightest pump. It weighs only 600grams. The pump is supplied with a carry bag. This allows the maxi-mum freedom of movement for your patients during their recovery period and speeds up patient mobilization.

User friendliness is central to the XLR8®.The canister tubing comes pre assemble, allowing the clinician to focus on patient care not product assembly. Set up is easily accomplished due to the large easy to read interface. All critical data is just a fingertip touch away. Once the unit is set the caregiver can lock it to ensure trouble free accurate operation.

New Wound Therapy Technology

WrenCare is excited to partner up with EO2 Concepts to provide TransCu O2 Therapy . TransCu is an electrochemical low-dose tissue oxygenation and wound monitoring system. TransCu O2 is designed for use with advanced wound dressings as an adjunctive therapy to treat oxygen compromised wounds. A new advanced therapy that is now being used to treat difficult to heal wounds such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers.
